The project is part of the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations 2012 initiative and encourages schools to invite local community members into the classroom to build closer intergenerational relationships. Sciennes Primary School invited members of the St Catherine’s Argyle Church Lunch Club. Head Teacher, Alison Noble, said performing at the lunch club built the children’s confidence.
Schools are invited to upload photos from their event to http://www.panoramio.com/group/60978 with the chance to win a prize. Further information and resources can be found at the Generations@School website.
