Job vacancies & EU Open competitions

European Personnel Selection Office

The European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO), the body which recruits staff for European Union institutions, has recently become aware of the existence of certain commercial websites which are marketing past EU competition papers. Furthermore, in some cases the names and visual presentation of these websites is such that they can be mistaken for official EU or national authorities¡¦ sites. Complaints have been received from individuals who have drawn the erroneous conclusion that EPSO is charging for past papers.

There is only one official EPSO website, namely http://europa.eu.int/epso

The EPSO website provides reliable and comprehensive information about selection procedures and specific competitions. Sample tests are available free of charge on the EPSO site. They cover the needs of potential candidates in most fields, and the number of tests available is shortly to be increased.

EPSO does not authorise the reproduction of its test material for commercial purposes.

If you receive any enquiries about these commercial websites, or indeed about commercial companies offering training for competitions through other media, please make it clear that anyone subscribing to them does so at their own risk. EPSO can offer no assurances that the material offered is relevant to their needs or accurate.

Job opportunities in the European Union institutions, advisory bodies, agencies and other organisations can be found on the website of the UK Office of the European Parliament at www.europarl.org.uk/jobs
