Save the Children

7 June 2008 to 14 September 2008

Hey music lovers!Image of the World Can't Wait event in summer 2007

Going to festivals this summer? The European Commission Humanitarian Aid department and Save the Children have joined forces to raise awareness of child malnutrition at various UK festivals this summer. We'll be talking about the vital role of food aid in keeping vulnerable children alive in the world's poorest countries - we really need your support to save these children's lives.

Why not join us at these festivals:

  • Strawberry Fair, Cambridge, 7 June
  • Peace Festival, Leamington, 14-15 June
  • Festival de Cuba, 28-29 June
  • Camp Bestival Dorset, 18-20 July
  • Big Chill, Worcestershire, 1-3 August
  • V Festival, Stafford, 16-17 August
  • Thames Festival-13-14 September

We'll be there with our fifth birthday stall, asking festival-goers to share in our ambition to get more children around the world to reach the age of five.  There'll be lots of stuff going on:

  • activities for kids and an actual birthday party at a set time in the day (the fun bit)
  • a "feeding station" with information on child hunger (the educational bit)
  • lots of opportunities for you to show support for our campaign (the important bit)
  • and we'll have lots of festival essentials to give away?

So in between enjoying your favourite tunes and soaking in the festival atmosphere join us and stand up for the 10 million children that die every year before their fifth birthday.  We may not be able to fix the weather, but we guarantee that your voice will help save a child's life.
