Description
Following the launch of a new system for the authorization of medicinal products, the EMEA was established to provide scientific advice to the EU institutions about medicinal products for humans and animals. It concentrates on purely scientific issues such as the quality, safety and efficiency of medicinal products and is responsible for the surveillance to ensure the safety of medicines circulating in the Single European Market or exported from the Union.
