"The Sibiu Declaration" was adopted by members of the European Cultural Parliament on 7 October at its sixth session. The declaration has its main focus on aspects of the Intercultural Dialogue. In addition, the ECP adopted a statement on the anniversary (7 october) of the assasination of its esteemed member Anna Politkovskaya. Furthermore, the ECP listened to and endorsed a statement by the ECP-member Barbara Hendricks about the violence against peaceful demonstrations in Burma.
