Cloth and Culture NOW is a major contemporary textiles exhibition which features new work by six Finnish artists (Agneta Hobin, Kristiina Wiherheimo, Merja Winqvist, Silja Puranen, Outi Martikainen and Helena Hietanen) and artists from Estonia, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania and the UK. The exhibition, which has bee curated by Professor Lesley Millar, includes stunning works that use traditional techniques and materials such as knitting and embroidery, explorations of new materials and technology, large architectural installations, performance work, video as well as narrative based and decorative textiles.
